i know, I KNOW, i make pizza all the time and i’ve already posted about it, but seriously — it gets better every single time AND i am always amazed at how easy it is to make and how good it comes out. so, as such, i will continue to share every single time i make pizza. deal? deal.
this one is pretty standard.
what you need:
whole wheat pizza dough from TJ
tomato basil pizza sauce
AND the final ingredient (used for the first time in this recipe): DAIYA MOZZARELLA CHEESE!
what you do:
after rolling out the pizza dough (which is a bit of a pain in the butt — be sure to flour the dough and the surface you’re rolling on. i like using any bottle i have laying around the kitchen to help me roll), i carefully place it on a lightly greased baking sheet. once the pizza is safely on the sheet, THEN i layer everything on. first comes the sauce, then a layer of basil leaves. now it’s time for the veggies. for this part, i usually chop all of them up, put them into a ziploc and toss them in a LITTLE bit of oo, salt, pepper and garlic powder. once they’re all seasoned THEN i cover the pizza in them. i top it off with some extra marinara drizzled on top, and then finish with a ton of the mozz cheese (which, ladies and gentlemen is actually…GOOD!) once everything is on, it goes in the oven on 425 degrees for about 15 minutes.
